Fireball
As the first fireball blazed by his face, he turned quickly to see another flame incoming so fast that there was no way to dodge. Lucky for him that he remembered how to cast the Ice Wall spell that his master taught him long ago. Unlucky for him, that he is more proficient with fire than with ice. --- Fire summoned at ones very fingertips. Cinnamon bark, cinnamon leaves, fresh dirt, allspice, fire, and a few drops of cabernet.

Ice Wall
Creating a crystallized wall of ice around ones self is no easy task and not for the light hearted. Usually the potency of this spell is tested against the smoldering flames of another’s fire incantations and this time, one of the mightiest of them all – The Fireball. Lucky for this mage, that the caster decided to not use full power and only destroyed his wall and not the summoner behind it as well. --- Oak moss, black currant, ice and freshly picked iris.

Valkyrie
These female deities were associated with war, as it was their job to determine the victor in battles and to decide who was the most heroic. They are often depicted as beautiful, but strong and fierce women warriors. They are often feared for their gruesome ties with the dead. The term "Valkyrie's Horse" is actually a reference to the wolves that frequent battlefields to pick over the corpses of the fallen. They are a strange combination of the feminine and the masculine, both beautiful and powerful. --- Balsam Fir, red roses, sandalwood and a touch of baby powder.

Demon's Blood
Their blood is every bit as dark as their personality. Demons are known as the evil fallen angels. Usually depicted as evil creatures that bear wings and sometimes appear human during the night time, demons would easily be considered the opposition to angels both in appearance and in actions. Bringers of death, disease, impurity and deceitfulness, these beings shroud themselves in all that is impure. --- Charred wood, dragon’s blood, ash, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger.

Woman's Reign
In Greek mythology, the woman-ruled Amazons often make an appearance as fierce warriors who live apart from men. They were said to be incredibly skilled in the ways of battle and even raised their own daughters to excel at combat. Though they were said to shun the presence of men, it was also said that they would take up with them once a year in order to bear more daughters. Any sons that were conceived were sent to their fathers (some accounts say that they were even killed.) Authors even credit the invention of the battle axe to these powerful women. --- A powerful blend with a touch of the exotic; dark vetiver, smoky amber, a cool ocean breeze, and birds of paradise on a grassy background.

Tennyo
Angels of the East or “Heavenly Maidens” as we like to call them – Tennyo are most often identified as angels due to their heavenly appearance. These beautiful holy spirits were often times found by themselves on the highest mountain peaks for which travelers would climb just to meet them and wore colorful or feathered kimonos (which were said to give them their power to fly.) --- Lotus blossom, magnolia, bamboo stalk and angel’s feathers.

Suriel
Suriel (meaning “God’s Command”), both an angel of death and an angel of healing, is one of the seven angels of earth with primordial powers. However, he appeared as the angel of death at the end of Moses’ life. Maybe that is why in The Canonical Prayer Book he is best known as “Suriel the Releaser”. --- Dark incense, cloves, patchouli, smoky vanilla, and honeysuckle for its healing properties.

Hunger of the Night
Many different legends tell tales of undead creatures that consume the life force of the living. Whether it is their spiritual life force or that of the warm blood that flows through their body, either way these undead beings suck the very essence that makes man what it is. When doors close, lights go out, and the sun sets, these soulless beings come to consume whatever it is they should desire. --- Sweetly dark – this turns faster than being bitten by a vamp yourself. Sweet trickled blood flows over cranberries, pomegranate, and rich blackberries with the lingering scent of smoky city streets.

Preserved in Time
Who doesn’t want to last till the end of time? Although many cultures believed in mummification, ancient Egypt is best known for trying to preserve one’s body, as their focus is on eternal life after death. If the body is preserved correctly through the various different steps taken during this process, the life force will not leave the body itself, and therefore grant the recently deceased eternal life in the afterworld. However, some myths have it that these dead beings will occasionally awaken from their eternal slumber, condemned to roam the earth until the end of time. --- Egyptian sandalwood, timeless musk, deep resins, linen wrappings, a hint of lotus, and an ancient preservation oil for the ages.

Asgard's Ride
In Norse mythology, Asgard’s Ride (The Wild Hunt) was a folk myth best used to explain thunderstorms. The wild hunt is known as a phantasmal group of huntsmen in crazed pursuit across the skies, hunting down visionaries ranging from wild horses to boars, and even moss maidens. It is said that villagers that mocked the hunt in its passing would vanish along with the host itself. However, those that joined in the hunt with belief could very well be rewarded. --- Stormy Yule nights. A strangely comforting yet tumultuous mixture of crisp, wet rain, salty ocean air, oak moss, musk, frankincense, and water torn earth.

Fallen Heroes
The battlefield is littered with corpses and only a few men and women still survive to fight. As the two heroes gaze across the dead bodies and stare directly into each others eyes they both know one thing is about to happen – there will only be one survivor this day. Regardless of who wins this battle, their names will be inscribed in history and songs sung of their glorious tales forevermore. --- A mixture in tribute to all the great heroes that have fallen in battle for an ideal greater than themselves. The innocence of english ivy, heather, white and golden musk, paired with the darkness of vetiver, dirt and the blood of fallen heroes.

Minthe
Minthe was a naiad (a river nymph) who was said to be the daughter of the river Cocytus. Hades was enchanted with her beauty and wanted to possess her. As he traveled to seduce the young Minthe, Persephone discovered this and grew furious. To stop her husband from completing his plans, she turned Minthe into a sweet smelling herb - mint. --- Two types of mint, bayberry, myrrh, and an aquatic befitting of a naiad.

Mooncake
The Moon Festival is a popular Asian celebration that dates back over three thousand years. During this celebration, they worship and pay tribute to the moon goddess Chang'e, who is said to live in the moon and represents the female principle - the Yin. A family would burn incense to honor Chang'e and eat mooncakes while gazing at the moon. These mooncakes are traditional pastries made with various paste fillings, and are traditionally enjoyed on this holiday. --- A soft pastry with sugared lotus seed paste and green tea.
